Since I was a child I have had a connection to animals (especially dogs) and nature. Luckily, I have always been surrounded by both. A few years ago, I had a beautiful pitbull whom I adopted when he was only a few days old because his mom had passed away. I thought that he wouldn’t survive. I was wrong. He was a great fighter and lived. We spend four happy years together until he got ill with cancer. He was operated on various times. Despite doing everything we possible could the cancer beat him. Losing him was hard. We still miss Jako to this day. I said that I would never have another dog. Jako remained in my heart and mind but, as the years went by, I missed having a faithful companion. Then one day while reading articles about animals the American Bully caught my attention. I continued looking for information on the breed. With each passing day, as I studied the American Bully, I realized that they were the breed I was always looking for but didn’t know existed. I began to search with certainty for a specimen. This search was different because I wanted something very concrete and special. I toyed with the idea of traveling to the United States but realized that here, in Spain, there was just as much or even more quality despite that the breed was relatively young. I found a cross between Man Man (son of Cashpot) and Cachaca (daughter of CH. Gran Dali). That is how Chaman came into my life. Chaman’s character is friendly, loving and calm. However, he gives off a different impression to those who are unfamiliar with the breed. His genes are well marked in his offspring. I feel proud of him and that our clients are satisfied with the results. In regards to his offspring, there is one very special litter that a female by the name of Megara gave birth to closing the bloodline of CashPot. That litter gave us magnificent models, three very potent and propper males(PK2, Txoko, and Kaizo) and two females (Tropicana and Venus AKA Kimera) whom we have kept at home.
Nutrition:
At PBJ Bully we are serious about the diet of our dogs. Their diet is based on a good dry food that all dogs are given in each stage of their life. We supplement the dry food with chicken. We continuously give them fresh – clean water.
Life Style:
Exercise never hurts but we always keep in mind the limitations of the breed. More than anything be sure to give them lots of love and attention without any exceptions! Even if you have had a bad day because believe me its reciprocal.
The first time I saw Chaman he was 2 months old. It was love at first sight. I was crazy about him. He was just what I was looking for and there he was waiting for me. At the time I wasn’t doing well emotionally but his company and love helped me overcome that low point. Since then we have been inseparable companions. He is special, He is Chaman.
My hobbie isn’t easy to live with. It’s not lucrative. On the contrary, it is time consuming (and I won’t even mention when there is a litter). There are unexpected events and days when you want to go out but can’t. It takes strength because you do not always feel like being in the world of American Bully. You have to organize time to be with your family…. Ect. Ect. The dogs make up for all of this because they give you so much love. They are special and you will never know until you have one in your life.
This year Chaman worked externally on a few very ambitions projects in Europe. We are expecting good results like we have been having. In a few months two females, La China and Jimena, will enter into play at our kennel. For them we have chosen two excellent dogs from Spain. We are sure that these two crosses will give us very interesting little ones. We have incorporated two future stars at PBJ Bully: a ‘tri-choco’ male named El Santo and a ‘tri-lilac’ female named La Santa. It’s a big bet, but we are very confident that not only do these dogs bring unique color but also supreme quality.
